Home of the White Squirrels

In Brevard, North Carolina, white squirrels are more than just a quirky sight—they’re a cherished part of the local culture and have become the town’s unofficial mascot. These rare creatures have even inspired events in their honor.

According to local legend, Brevard’s white squirrels trace their roots back to a mid-20th-century carnival truck accident in Florida. After the incident, a man spotted two white squirrels playing in his pecan orchard and gifted them to a friend in Brevard, who then passed them on to his niece. One squirrel eventually escaped, and the other was released, allowing them to breed with the local squirrel population. Despite their pale coloring, these white squirrels are not albinos but rather a unique variation of the eastern gray squirrel—just one of many charming surprises Brevard has to offer.

About Me

After a fulfilling career as an Executive Producer in the commercial film industry in Miami, I made a meaningful shift to pursue my passion for hospitality and community. Along the way, I’ve been humbled to receive recognition for my work, including a feature on NBC Nightly News’ Making a Difference segment, a spotlight in USA Today, and the Leave a Legacy award for my creative and compassionate efforts with the homeless and other underserved communities.

Today, I call the beautiful Pisgah Forest home, where I spend my time chasing waterfalls and uplifting others. Having rented homes across the globe, I now find deep joy in hosting guests in my own spaces. Each property is designed to offer a thoughtful, soul-nourishing experience—whether you're seeking rest, inspiration, or a spark of adventure. My goal is simple: to make your stay something truly special.
